At Artiste Plastic Surgery Cheek Augmentation is performed for the following reasons:
- In patients who lack cheek projection due to congenital causes
- For those wanting more prominent cheek bones
- For those patients that have lost prominence as part of the aging process
Cheek implants are placed over the zygoma (cheek bone) through an intra-oral incision where prominence is desired.
Filler or Fat Grafting
In milder cases filler or fat grafting may be used to augment the cheekbone structure.
As part of a routine facelift, the High SMAS flap augments the cheek area.
The procedure will be illustrated in detail and you will be given a detailed instruction sheet on expected post-operative course and potential complications during your consultation with Dr Jack Zoumaras.
It is recommended that you are a stable weight for at least 3-6 months to obtain the best possible results.
It is advised to stop smoking at least 6 weeks before and after surgery.
